Browser/Mobile App Notification Sounds

When I receive a new message or mention from a comment, etc. I wish my browser and mobile app would ding or produce some sort of notification sound.
I'm not always at my desktop, and nor do I have MessageDesk viewable, so this feature would help me respond faster/know when something needs attention.
