Contact Management & Views — Overhaul (Planned)
Improvement
Planned November 11, 2025
flag March 31, 2026

You’ve told us contact management needs to be faster, clearer, and more connected to your day-to-day texting. You’re right. You should be able to find the right person, take action in bulk, and launch conversations without bouncing between screens.

This update brings your contacts, conversations, and workflows together.

Why this matters to you

  • You resolve anonymous inbound numbers into real contacts in seconds.

  • You filter and save reusable Views to organize outreach and follow-ups.

  • You start messages and automations right from a contact list or profile.

  • You manage properties at scale—without spreadsheets or support tickets.

What’s coming

New compose × contact search

  • Search contacts while composing a new message.

  • Auto-pull the default phone so you send to the right number every time.

Saved “Views” (formerly Groups)

  • Create Views from filters (labels, properties, last activity, etc.).

  • Save and pin Views to your tab bar for one-click access.

  • Keep your existing groups—nothing breaks. You’ll get more flexibility with Views.

Bulk actions that actually save time

  • Multi-select contacts to update properties, apply labels, or send.

  • Merge duplicates, delete safely with confirmations, and export when you need a CSV.

A clearer contact table

  • Show/hide any column.

  • Scan all contact properties at a glance.

  • Better hierarchy and spacing for easier reading.

A smarter contact profile

  • See every conversation the contact is in, right on their profile.

  • New custom property type: URL with one-click open.

  • Property-aware polish:

    • date → calendar affordance

    • number → quick +/−

    • text → clean, readable chips

    • url → tap to launch

Select & Send from Contacts

  • Filter a list, select recipients, and send a message or kick off a workflow without leaving Contacts.

Anonymous conversation resolution

  • One-tap copy of unknown numbers.

  • Lookup by phone to match inbound messages to an existing contact fast.

Design & delight

  • A refreshed visual hierarchy across the module.

  • Optional default avatars for a cleaner list view.

How you’ll use it (day one examples)

  • Build a “Unreplied this week” View → select all → send a check-in template.

  • Search “Sarah” in compose → MessageDesk auto-selects her default mobile.

  • Open a contact → click a website property → jump to their portal.

  • Multi-select duplicates → Merge to clean your CRM in minutes.
